What is the Personal Librarian (PL) Program?

You have a Personal Librarian! Your Personal Librarian is available to help you with your research by teaching you some Information Literacy skills. I will be visiting your classes to talk to you about things like database searching. There are also required online tutorials with short quizes for you to complete on  the research process, choosing a topic, types of sources, search strategy, evalution of sources, and why citations matter. There is also a study skills tutorial on helpful topics such as time managment and notetaking is also available. You can find the tutorials and much more here, on this library guide.

I encourage you to visit and set up an appointment so that I may help you with any research you have to do. My contact information can be found on this page in the box on the right-hand side of the page.

A great resource is the OWL (Online Writing Lab) site from Purdue University--check it out!
